Riley At Home

Riley is settling in, and we think, loving his new home. We know we all love him.

All of a sudden I turned around, and she was gone. I ran upstairs and found that Emmy had put herself to bed! No asking. No telling. Just see ya. I had to grab the camera. She apparently didn't even care that we were in the process of changing her sheets and hadn't replaced them yet. But I guess when you need a nap, you need a nap!

Em Making Riley Cozy

Riley is settling in to our crazy household well and the girls are loving him. Em pets his head and declares him a "good boy" and "my puppy dog." Lexi waves her little hand at him as he tries to lick her face. So far it's an all-around love fest. I snapped a pic of Em as she was trying to tuck him in when he was lying on the foyer floor.

Heading Home With a New Puppy and a Bear

Everyone has seen the 10,000 pics of Emily and her teddy. Yes, he's featured in more pics than Mama the photographer, but that's ok. :) Grammy and Papa got Lexi one to call her very own as well and he shared her car seat on the ride back home to Jersey. We're calling him Bear so there's no confusion. Big grin.

Welcome To the Family Riley

We weren't expecting it, but we're leaving NC with a new pooch! Karen saw some pooches listed online at a shelter thirty minutes from her parents' house so we loaded up the van and all drove over to check them out. We just couldn't leave this little guy behind. He's four months old, part beagle/hound and is just the sweetest thing ever. He likes to nuzzle Lexi as she waddles next to him and then lick her face. We just had to bring him home. So, Emmy and Lexi have a new puppy - Riley!

On Our Way to Grammy and Papa's

Lex is so excited to see Grammy and Papa. This is also her first roadtrip getting to sit face forward in the "big girl" car seat. She was thrilled to get to actually watch Finding Nemo and Mickey Mouse and not just hear it as she faced the seat! I also caught her and Papa having a sweet moment. I'm not sure what they said, but she's listening rather intently!
