The Bouncing Poses of Miss Lexi G.

So one of our many yard sale scores was a doorway jumper. It was one of the few things that Lexi got that Emily didn't get to enjoy first. Who knew it even existed? First day putting it up, Lex takes 5 joyous bounces and grins like she has never grinned before, and while Mommy goes to adjust it, it breaks. (Crying child not pictured.) So, of course we had to run out immediately to Toys R Us and pay full retail for it on the spot. Heck, we would probably have handed them the checkbook for it. This child LOVES it. And, admittedly, this one is a little bit of an upgrade- yes, it has a musical pad underneath so she can pound out all kinds of great tunes for our pleasure as well. We're just hoping Emmy doesn't propel her back like a slingshot. Eek.

Post Christmas Fun

Just love it when we get to hang out and don't have to be anywhere. Especially work and daycare. :)

"Oh, you startled me Mama."

And don't even try to take away this child's bag of goldfish!

Snowpocalypse 2010

We managed to get somewhere over 2 feet of snow on the 26th. Today was fun for some digging it out. Mama Steph sat on the warm couch and documented it.

Merry Christmas Girls

It was our very first Christmas celebrated at our own house. It was a lot of work, occasionally chaotic, but so very much fun. We loved having Grammy and Papa and Uncle Scott here for a few days. And Auntie L and Cousin Brian joined us on Christmas day too.

Sheer Mickey Jubilation. Sadly, "Mo Mo Mow" is quickly turning into "Mickey Mouse." Oh how we will miss hearing you "Mo Mo Mow."

And a Mickey Mouse cup too!

"I think red is a good color for you"

"I'm on my Auntie's Nice List"

Cousin Brian manages to sneak in some ketchup to our xmas dinner table. :)

Oh, what presentation ladies. Just don't seat those next to Cousin Brian.

Grammy discovers Mickey on You Tube. Saves Xmas dinner from one screaming child.

Milk coma. Adults all in turkey coma. Not pictured. ;)

Former Roommate Christmas in NYC

We had a wonderful evening in NYC with the whole gang at Allison and Jay's apartment. We just don't see everyone often enough. Joy and Scott came up from Charlotte, and Jacq and Matt met us there from New Jersey. They have a new addition to their family - Mr. Chico. Emily fell quickly and wholeheartedly in puppy love. She's so used to her big Sadie dog that he was just a wonderful tiny treat for her. Everyone was way too generous to the girls- they came home with so much xmas loot. They better be good all through 2011 too!!

A Pre-Christmas Slumber

We were able to enjoy a couple of nights of doing nothing - just listening to Christmas music and enjoying the lights. As you can see, it soothed Lexi intoto a sound sleep.

Preparing for Christmas

So hectic here before the holiday since it's our first time having Christmas at our house. But, Em wanted to stop and take a minute to show us something on the tree. She insisted everything was red!! We were thrilled that she was old enough and mature enough not to pull a single ornament off of it. Just one of the billion reasons we are so extremely blessed this year. And in case you're wondering, yes, she takes that teddy with her everywhere. He is in more photos than Mama. :)

Big Sister. Little Sister.

We can hardly believe how big they're both getting. Growing up way too fast. Stay little just a little while longer, ok?

Day-After Mommy's B-Day Dinner Celebration Night!

Mommy's B-Day was the day before, but we spent a quiet night just the 4 of us that night. Tonight Uncle Wes and James (who managed to escape without a pic) made us a lovely dinner and birthday cake.

Just Tearing Up the House

Big shout out to Grandma Smith for the big girl cheerleading outfit. Em and Mommy had a great game of "I'm Gonna Getcha" going. Which Em is now able to say. Lex slept peacefully through all the commotion. And Em occasionally stopped to make sure her "baby girl" had her binky.

"Let me help you with that."
