ELMO LIVE!

We waited months and the day finally arrived! Sesame Street Live!! It was a day that was all Emmy's. She got to see her first show, with all her Sesame Street friends, and then we hit Chuck E. Cheese for some pizza and games. She even got a personal greeting from the Chuck E. Cheese Mouse Man himself. Although she didn't find the SS characters scary, this oversized-rug-looking Chuck E. character was rather frightening. A few tears ensued. But, we were over it quickly and up and on to more games in no time.

Not sure we have a clue what we're in for here...

Next time we splurge for the better seats Mama.

Aunt Joy, your shirt sure came in handy for the big event!

If you can't see them here, the tears come soon hereafter. We agree Em, he's kinda creepy. Not sure who the little boy belongs to. :)

Can I Get a Chip Please?

Not sure who loves On the Border more, Mommy or Emmy. Em pictured here with a chip bigger than her face. Lexi wanted to get into the action too but settled for a bottle... of milk.

We Played Ourself to Sleep

A little drummer in the making perhaps? She beat those bongo drums until she passed out. And then used them as a pillow. Lexi, if only you'd sleep through the night already. :)

While Mommy Is Away in Tampa...

Fortunately mommy doesn't have to travel too much for work, but when she does, we all sure miss her. Here we are trying to stay out of trouble. Em and Lexi don't fight over much yet, but this little Mickey Mouse figurine seems to be a hot commodity in this house. For now at least, Em seems to have the upper hand in prying it out of her poor baby sister's hands.

Emmy's 1st Haircut

Em got her first haircut- and a professional one at that! It took about 4 distractions - Mommy, a milkshake, about 4 oreos, and a where's your belly button game, but we got it done! Mullet be gone!! Thanks Rob!!

Milkshake's gone!

It's PITA

For those who don't know, Pita is an acronym for very lovingly saying- Pain In The As*. Surely only on just one or two occasions, Lexi has fully qualified for grand Pita status. It's mostly when she makes you cycle through the list of anything she could possibly want while she's crying, only to discover that you have to cycle through it twice because what she didn't want the first time, is in fact what she ultimately wants. Pita. Oh how we love thee. Somehow Em must have overheard us call her that once, and at some point we realized she thinks this is in fact her baby sister's name. Since she can't say Lexi, it's Pita. And it has stuck. Mama S figured we needed to document it. Just like Mo Mo Mow, no doubt it will eventually be retired.
